e-GMAT CR diagnostic Stats

Take the e-GMAT diagnostic

A diagnostic test is typically your first step towards assessing where you stand and the e-GMAT diagnostic aims to achieve just the same.  The e-GMAT CR diagnostic contains 13 questions spanning across major GMAT CR questions types.  Note that not all questions are of same difficulty level.  Some questions are more challenging than the others and correspondingly carry a higher weight than the others.

At the end of the diagnostic, you receive a score out of 100.

Calculating your percentile from your end score

Since April 2011, over 10,000 students have taken the e-GMAT CR diagnostic. However, we updated the diagnostic after the release of OG 13 and the data presented represents the corresponding stats.  In the past 9 months, over 5,000 test takers attempted the diagnostic. Here is the percentile scores distribution

HOW DID WE ARRIVE AT THE PERCENTILE DISTRIBUTION

We rejected the attempts that were either duplicates or completed in less than 10 minutes. After this data massaging, we had 3000 valid attempts. We then divided these attempts into various score ranges. Each score range had over 30 attempts with some score ranges around the median having over 200 attempts.
