I was hung up between cheap and cheaply here
cheap means --at low cost/price
cheaply -it has two connotations (cheaply (at low price)- I got this car very cheaply OR Cheaply (in a stingy manner)-the rich boy treated his country cousin cheaply)

to avoid any ambiguity wouldn't cheap be a better option to go with ie B ?

confused -- C vs E ie discounts on artifacts Vs discounted artifacts
why can't you give someone a 'Discounted artifact'--and actual/physical artifact at a marked down discounted rate (as stated in E) vs a discount (as stated in C)

you can read the OE. However trying to evaluate each option.

A and c are out because the subject is the band - singular

E is correct because the meaning is pointed out on the fact that the band gives away its CD economically (cheaply), in other words for few dollars NOT in an economic way (cheap); is the way how the CDs are sold NOT the CDs itself.

Moreover the band sold, the action is in the past in this context because the band wants achieve as fast as it can popularity.

In this scenario (C) are selling their CDs cheaply to fans would be correct if the action takes place in the present and their was substituted with its Cds

For these reasons B and D are wrong

First of all C and E are the only correct for the correct usage of idion not only........but also.

But you can't say discounted artifacts. the right construction is discounts on artefacts. In E if you read carefully the society are giving somes artefacts discounted ( 1, 2.......10.....100). In C instead the society are giving discounts on something as a general rule, on all its inventory
