#1 Diagnostic....420...panic setting in. Please Advise. [#permalink]

So I just took my first Manhattan GMAT diagnostic and I scored 420. You guys are going to get a kick out of the break down....Q15/V33. My Q was in the 4%'ile...V in the 69%'ile. I am completely freaking out....what should I do? Forget verbal for awhile and completely focus on quant? Or should I just stay the course for a few more weeks, take another diag, then modify my studying at that point?

If it is your first diagnostic ever, you have no basis to adjust your studying yet. Stay the course for a week or so and work on what you think are your weaknesses, and take another diagnostic.

Well, it's my first diag...but I had been doing some numbers propteries review for like 1-2 weeks. It all kind of went out the window when I took the test though.

No big deal at all I started out at the 470 mark myself. The good news about your test is that you got a horrible quant score and I think you will see HUGE improvements in that over the course of your studying, imo the verbal is much harder to bring up. If after a couple of test you are still at this number let's find out where your weaknesses are and how to get that score up.

Yep I would also dont panic..Your verbal is very good. Just go thru math forum and try to work on quant questions and do some review book first like PR review etc.
