1 year out of school. high gmat score. bad job.

i want to go back to school and get something that is a little more applied so i can get a respectable job right after the program.

what type of programs would you recommend? i double majored with a BS in econ and BA in language and int. trade(basically, spanish BA)

also, i have some graduate credit hours from my undergrad university(clemson). 12 hours with a 3.5 gpa. As opposed to my less than stellar undergrad gpa of 2.9. However, my upper division gpa is well over a 3.0. i just bombed my freshman year. Do you think my graduate gpa would help make up for my less than stellar undergrad gpa?

Enrolling in graduate level courses is certainly a plus, but an overall GPA of 2.9 will present some obstacles for your application. If your GPA improved overtime, as you suggested, then you might be able to assuage some concerns from the admissions office. And a high GMAT score will of course help. What is your score, by the way?

Your educational background leaves a wide range of options for you, so it's a little hard to say in which direction you should go. What are your general interests? What type of job would you like in the near future?
