10.0 to 4.0 GPA conversion

My undergrad school had a 10.0 CGPA system based on
A+ 10
A 9
B+ 8
B 7
C+ 6
C 5
D 4
E 2
F 0

Any ideas on how to convert it to 4.0 GPA?

From everything I have read if your school didn't use a 4.0 system don't even try and convert it. So I wouldnt worry about it, unless you just want to know fo your own personal benefit. It works out to roughly

A=4.0
A- = 3.7
B+ = 3.3
B = 3.0
B- = 2.7
C+ = 2.3
C = 2.0
C- = 1.7
D+ = 1.3
D = 1.0
D- = 0.7
and F = 0

I agree, don't convert anything, unless it's only for your own information.

The conversion mentioned above is the proportional conversion. However, there's the "cultural conversion", too.

The cultural conversion deals with grade inflation, the value of a 80% in one country vs. an 80% in another, etc.

These guys have worked in that direction.

You shouldn't convert directly, instead you should now you're ranking position.

I am from a country with a 10.0 grade system but my university sends to students, when requirede, their rankings. Also in my country a 7.0 mark from one college should not be compared with a 9.5 from any other since this 7.0 may be harder to get than the 9.5 from the other. What happens is that usually the most well known colleges are already "mapped" by the MBA programs and they usually ask for this ranking system.
