Each machine work at a rate 1/x job in 1 hour
10 machines work at a rate 10/x job in 1 hour

Completed job in 16 hours, so x/10 = 16, x = 160

If there are 8 machines, the job is completed at a rate of 1/20 job per hour, and to finish the job will need 20 hours.

My take is B (20). The explaination as follows.
The way I understand this type of problems is by translating the problem into a ratio. In this problem as the number of machine increases, the number of hours required decreases and vice a versa. So the ratio has to be inversly proportional as follows
10/8 = x/16
So 8x = 160
and x = 20

I hope this makes sense.

Got B as well

10 machine completes in 16*10 =160 hrs
8 machine can complete in 160/8 =20 hrs
