a , d are wrong, "previous year's cost" is not logic
c, is wrong: "previous year's" dose not have possesiveness in the first part of sentence
d, is wrong , "it" has not clear reference
e, "costs" must go with "those" not "that"

B - incorrect - ...tiles(plural)...describes(singular) - what + verb + subject ..in such constructions generally the number of verb is governed by the subject
C - incorrect - sentence fragment - The work.....describing
D - incorrect - subject verb agreement - here The work(singular subject)....describe(plural verb)
E - incorrect - ambiguous it - it can refer to work or geometry

B - incorrect - Problems of managing - is wrong.Problems in the management - is the correct usage. Further it should be water and other resources as resources includes water.

D - incorrect - wrongly says problems of water and problems of other resource management are at the head of the list.

E - incorrect - Resource management problems cannot include water. Resources can include water.

1000SC reliable? In all honesty, I've long ago decided to put away using 1000SC
as a result of the controversial answers. This forum has, however restored my confidence

The questions are quite good but not sure if the answers provided in the link align to these questions. I will try to build a simple answer sheet (no explanation) as I go along if there isn't one handy.

Help me out here, I am new. I see there is a huge amount of information on this forum - better than any course. book. out there.. And I would like to use it.. So for SC, I see the 1000 SCs that many have talked about, is there a place to see the questions, answers, explanations in one place? I often times see discussions and get confused as I don't know which is the right explanation and answer from the members postings. Is there a consolidated list? Please help me.

Many many thanks for sharing this collection of questions. I only managed to get through about 300 prior to my test but it did help crunching through as many questions as I can. Really helpful stuff and I am recommending everyone I know that is doing GMAT to come visit this thread!

I believe the question numbers don't match with whats on 1000 SCs. I checked question 1 and 2 and they are different. I hope questions are from "http://thousandsc.blogspot.com/2006/04/qn-1.html" site

great thread!!

But i am confused about something: the questions highlighted from 1 to 6 are not in the order as they appear in 1000sc.doc. where as in between, randomly when checked, the question no. mention in the post is the same as in 1000sc.doc

could shed share some light on this aspect!!
