hey guys, just got my TOEFL score, 105.

I am really dissapointed. Two years ago i got a 112. I really really wanted to apply to HBS but now i wont have time to retake the TOEFL. Any advice on how to handle this, are there people who apply with less than 109 and get in? any advice on how to prove to the adcom that english wont be an issue. I mean i got really bad in speaking, 22, so they can really evaluate my speaking skills at the interview. got a 41 on the verbal section of the gmat.

Hi all,

I was wondering how much in your opinion would be the minimum real mark in TOEFL to apply for HBS without being ruled out directly.
I know that 109 is the mark stated on the HBS web page but I'd like to know the 'real' one or the one which would you apply.

My dilemma is, if I do 100 in Toefl, should I apply? I have also LBS in mind but HBS is my dream.

I believe I have interesting and strong points in my profile:
- I speak Spanish, French and English, and I'm learning basic Mandarin at this moment.
- Very international profile, being a Spaniard, I'm working in IT for a big French Investment Bank in several places: France, New York (a year) and now in Hong Kong.
- I got two master degrees from top Spain university and after from a top one in France.

I haven't taken the GMAT but I expect it to be between 650 and 700.

Regarding TOEFL, although I do fine in the listening and reading sections (between 26 and 30 points almost always), not bad in writing (hopefully 25), the speaking section is a pain for me and I think I will be between 20 and 25 at most. Therefore I expect my mark to be around 100.
