2 Weeks to go - what should I do? [#permalink] New post 15 Feb 2007, 16:05
I'm taking the test two weeks from this saturday, so, I have two weekends left to study. I have one remaining GMATPrep test and the 1000 series question banks to study from. Should I take my last CAT this weekend or next? If I take it this weekend I will have two weeks to go over any weak areas. If I take it the last weekend, I will have a better indicator of my actual score, with only one week remaining.

I'm probably splitting hairs here, but, well, I'm sure you understand. :-D

What do you think I should do?

I think you should take your GMAT prep 1 week before the test.

I dont know what your practice schedule is, but the last week can be very useful to review the 100s of GMAT prep questions available on this forum. Obviously, you wouldn't want to look at them before your final CAT. If you do, the CAT may not be representative.

All the best for your test.

Last week try to do a test or two from GMAT Prep and ignore the scores. This is only for practising the time period for which you need to sit. Doing the AWA is the most important thing.

But 2 weeks before the test take 3 GMATPrep tests(ofcourse they are repeats). Also brush up your SC fundae and Math fundae too.
Do sets of 15 questions of CR and RC a day and 21 sets of DS and 16 PS.

Day before the exam relax get your stuff ready for next day's exam like passport (if you not a citizen of the US) and have a regular meal and try to sleep well. This you need to practise the entire week ('cos going to sleep before your regular time isnt so easy)

Thanks guys. I think I will set up a couple of practice tests from the question banks to practice for time and stamina, in addition to possibly re-taking the first GMATPrep test this weekend, although I will probably remember all the questions. I will save my 2nd GMATprep for the weekend before. I also have to consider the time needed to go over my error log, its grown quite large! I should probably do that on an ongoing basis.

Generally I'm studying ~2hrs a day during the weekend and 10-12 over the weekend.

ncprasad, did you take your test yet?
