I only ask because UVA, although the program is on par with Boston College, has more stringent application stats. I applied to schools on Feb 1st, and I just received the rejection email from ND. I am a little bit disappointed because ND was my first choice. BC and UVA are my first choice now. Could you tell me when you applied to BC and how long did it take to receive an offer? did you have an interview with them? Thanks.
My GPA is 3.9, GMAT score is 630. Do you think what is my possibilities of getting an offer from BC or UVA? I think I applied to those schools too late. First time poster here. GPA: 3.3 undergraduate in science, 3.5 graduate in business GMAT: 600 Schools AppliedUniversity of California, Davis (new program this fall 2012) - Interviewed, will be receiving notice this week. *UPDATE* admitted to UCD. I'd consider going here if they give me a significant scholarship package, but that's unlikely.. University of Southern California - Accepted, no scholarship. Any ideas on how to finance my education? I'm assuming the reason why I did not receive any scholarship $$$ is probably because my GMAT is not too competitive compared to some of the other posters here. Do MAcc students receive federal grants or loans only? Thanks. Good luck to you on UVA, waterwater. If not, apply earlier and keep persisting. You will get in for sure, eventually.

Congrats on the USC admit. I will be going to Boston College. Unfortunately no federal pell grants are available for grad students. You will have to rely on loans.

Thank you Agentforce. UVa said that they will release their decision by Mar 1st, which is only 2 days left. Finger Crossed. Anyone who applied to UVA in Feb round heard back from UVa?

waterwater wrote: What do you think about University of Rochester? I haven't seen anyone applied to U of R for MS in accounting. I know Simon schools is good, but they have just made the program and seems like the job market over there is not that good. My goal is working at the one of the big 4 in NYC. Anyone know about this school? Also, the tuition of U of R is really expensive, which is almost $1600 per a credit. Thanks. My fault. You pretty much nailed it, great school and business program but it is very new and since U of R is not known for Accounting, employers like the big 4 are not loyal to grads there. Is there a certain location you would like to work? I have an admit at BC and your stats may be enough to get in but it is very late and that means maybe only one or two spots are available and it's really competitive being that it is an excellent program. Feel free to pm me as I have applied to about a dozen schools for the msa for the fall.

Hello all, it's been a while since I last posted. I've heard back from all three schools so I figured I'd update my status for future classes.
UNC: Accepted with $$$ Bentley University: Accepted with $$$ University of Pittsburgh: Accepted with $$$
Good luck to everyone else who is still deciding!
Update: I will be attending Bentley University in the Fall. Although it was a tough decision, the amount of aid I received from them, along with their outstanding career services/placement rates made it the best choice to pursue my graduate education.

Undergrad: UNC Chapel Hill Major: English GPA: 3.16 GMAT: 680
Accepted at Wake Forest MSA with 50% scholarship. Will start summer classes in May! I decided not to apply anywhere else after I heard back from Wake, although I did have applications started for UNC, W&M, and George Washington. I just like their #1 CPA pass rate and the emphasis placed on the second semester internship, so I think Wake is right for me.
Anybody else heading to Wake next year?

Hi there! I'm also an english major (and econ minor) and I've been accepted to Wake as well! I received a 25% scholarship but I'm not 100 percent sure if I will be attending since I'm waiting to hear back from another MS in Accounting program
