1) (the other 2 on the way)

D = R*T

total time = 10/(25/1) + 50/(40/1)

total dist/total time = total avg rate
(10+50)/(10/(25/1) + 50/(40/1)) ~ 36.xx

2) tricky tricky..

m could be 6, r could be 18
m could be -12, r could be 36

1) abs(r) = abs(3m)
2) (m+r)/2 = 12

A) r = -3m
(m-3m)/2 = 12
m = -12

B) r = 3m
(m+3m)/2 = 12
m = 6

primes have no factors other than 1 and itself
f(7) .. 6,5,4,3,2,1 total of 6
f(13), 12,11...1 total of 12

f(p) = p-1

Answer for 4.jpg

City
25 M = 1 G
1 M = 1/25 G
10 M = 1/25 * 10 = 2/5 G

Highway
40 M = 1 G
1 M = 1/40 G
50 M = 1/40 * 50 = 5/4 G

Avg Rate @ 10M in city and 50 M in Highway = Total Miles / Total Gallons
Total Miles = 10 + 50 = 60
Total Gallons = 5/2 + 5/4 = 33/20
=> (60)/(33/20) = 36.36 ~ 36

I think total galons would be 2/5 + 5/4, though result you typed right, i.e., 33/20
