3 jobs in 5 years [#permalink] New post 05 Nov 2010, 22:23
I am currently on my third job in five years and I was just wondering if adcom will look badly at this. I worked at my first job for 3 years and then moved around every year after partly because of the economy and partly because I didn't really know what I wanted to do. I'm afraid its going to make me look fickle and undependable.

I'm asking because I was going to use it as part of my story about why I want to pursue an MBA. I didn't know if this would be a good idea to throw this fact in the adcom's face though.

Any advice? Thanks!

Were these jobs in similar industries or disparate industries?
Were you making upward, lateral, or downward movement up the ladder?

If you left your first job after becoming a senior financial analyst to start delivering pizzas and currently sell furniture then it will definitely pose a problem.
