3 Weeks To Go [#permalink] New post 08 Nov 2010, 09:28
Hi guys,

I have just over 3 weeks to go until my GMAT Exam date and am wondering, how many practice exams do people recommend taking during this final "push"?

I started studying about 4 months ago and have gone through both Quant and Verbal slowly/in detail, but am worried about my stamina and adapting to the CAT since I have only taken two full-length exams (including the diagnostic) so far. How many would you recommend taking? I know I won't get the most out of the exams if I continue making the same mistakes and certainly don't want to burn myself out....

Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!

I guess around 10 tests in all should be enough.
You can take 6 MGMAT tests and 2 GMATPREP tests . Take each of the GMATPREP twice. Take a test every alternate day.

I personally took 4 MGMAT CAT and 2 GMATPrep. Don't overtrain with full length tests since it takes a few days to replete energy.

Thanks everyone for all of the great feedback! Much appreciated.

My scores thus far:
580 on my diagnostic (Q36, V33) (GMATPrep CAT 1)
650 (Q39, V39) on the most recent exam I took about three weeks ago. (MGMAT CAT)

I've been consistently logging between 8-12 hours of studying per week, and am aiming to score in the low 700's (720, 730).

I'm planning on taking another MGMAT CAT on Friday and hope to show some serious improvement...depending on how that goes I'll see if I need to focus more on stamina-building/exam-taking or my conceptual weaknesses for the remaining days...

Will keep you all posted! Thanks again! :-D
