3 Weeks to the actual GMAT and still struggling [#permalink] New post 14 Aug 2012, 10:27
I took the new GMAT prep test 1 today and scored a 700 (48Q,38V) on the test. The poor score in quant section can be attributed to DS and in verbal can be attributed to SC . I have practised quant from OG 12th and 13th edition and did reasonably well there than in the test .
I have completed SC from Manhattan SC guide and still struggling with the SC section .
I want to get a score of 720 + on the GMAT which is not possible unless i can improve on both the sections .I have nearly 3 weeks left for the GMAT. Kindly suggest a study plan to improve on my weak areas

SC- Try thursdays with ron.. you will never struggle in SC then!
Quant: Re you able to point out your weakness? IS it timing?

Please enlighten me about "Thursdays with Ron"
Regarding quant, my area of weakness is certainly algebra problems in DS. Time is also a concern with DS questions as i spend a lot of time in the initial questions to get them right and then struggle with time in the middle and end of the section. If i can increase the speed with which i can do DS problems(hard ones) i can certainly improve my quant scores
