I think that A, C and E have the wrong usage of 'she' as she cannot refer to a possessive noun. Further B is awkward. The only answer remaining is D.
However, what I was confused about here is that 'blending of solar energy, thoughts and figues, AND the images' phrase is connected by 'AND' at the end. Hence, why does the answer option end with 'suggests'?

Can anyone explain ???
Thanks

It really is a tricky question. At first even I was confused but then after closing observing the sentence, I realized that it is testing parallelism.

The parallel structure is

Phyllis Wheatley's blending of X,Y, and Z suggests her range and depth of influence.

Subject is " Phyllis Wheatley's blending " is the singular noun hence verb is suggests
Parallel elements are solar imagery, Judio Christian thought and figures, images that she borrowed.....

Correct parallel structure is in ans D.

Category : Noun - Pronoun reference,Parallelism

Observe- Phyllis Wheatley's blending has been referred to,by using pronoun 'she' in options a,c and e.So one can slash away these options.

Checking for parallelism remains in b and d.
In b remove 'Phyllis Wheatley's blending of solar imagery' and see the structure.Dosen't seem parallel.
So d prevails.

thank you
