5.5 AWA = 76%??

5.5 AWA = 76%?? [#permalink]

I know the AWA doesn't really matter, but 5.5 is at 76% now? I was fine when it was 83% ... but into the 70s now ... lame

ya I agree. I thought 5.5 is a good score. I am shooting for may be 4. I hate writing essays.

i think writing an essay is not as difficult as it was 3 years ago.
i feel that now a days there is a software that checks your essays so i think that u should have a general idea about how to write an essay. The more important score that matters is the verbal and quant score. So i would suggest spending more time on that. Anyways, writing the essays will help you to write the admissions essays but before the test important task is to master the verbal and quant section.

It is more of a check-mark, so don't look at the percentile. As long as you have more than 4, nobody will question the AWA's.
The only reason anyone may want to look at them is if your AWA is 4, and your app essays are fantastic.
