Let the total population be 27 (9*3)

No. of males = 15
No. of married males = 5
So, No. of married females = 5. (Assuming none of the married men are polygamous or homosexual.. :P. I do not think the question can be solved without this assumption)

No. of unmarried females = 27 - 20 = 7

Percentage of unmarried females = 7/27 which is slightly higher than 25%.

So, answer should approximately B.

Not a very good question or answer choices..

Say the total population is 90 :
Number of males : 5/9 * 90 = 50
Number of females: 4/9 * 90 = 40

Males Females

Married 15 15
Unmarried 35 X

Total 50 40

Assuming that the number of males who is married is the same as the number of females who is too , this yield to 25/90 which is equal to 27 7/9 .

Answer : B
