5 weeks left. need to break 700/720+ [#permalink] New post 07 Nov 2012, 21:55
After preparing for the exam for a while, I took a Kaplan GMAT CAT (a CAT from the kaplen Premier Live Online 2010 Edition that gives access to some free CATs) and scored a 660. I took a MGMAT CAT and scored a 640.
I want to score 700+

On the Kaplan test I did better on Quant and poor on Verbal:
Overall-660
Quant - 48
verbal - 29

On the MGMAT CAT:
Overall - 640
Quant - 44
Verbal - 33

I have exactly 5 weeks. I booked my GMAT exam date for December 14th. Is this sufficient time to get a 700+. I would ideally like to get a 720+.

Thanks a lot. Any advice on what I need to do to go from here?
Should I postpone my date or is 5 weeks a reasonable amount of time?

Thanks a lot.

Have you tried the GMAT prep exam or are you saving that for the last week?

Hi Nelz007,

Yes, I took one GMATPrep exam 2 weeks before I took the Kaplan and Mgmat CAT test. I scored a 620 on it. Then for 2 weeks I went over Math concepts I felt I was weak on and took the MGMAT and Kaplan CAT on the same day.

Thanks a lot.

Take the second GMAT Prep , find out how much you need to improve, and take one or two MGMAT cat's to figure out the areas where you need to get better, and go hard at those while not neglecting your strenghts..
