I felt so good during the exam, was not at all nervous, my stamina is charged up, i could concentrate on verbal and understand all Rc's.Dont know what happened..My target was 600+ i thought i can achieve it, i dont know if i should retake or try next year.

First of all, realize that many, many students have had a similar experience on their first exam. That score isn't necessarily representative of your actual ability. If you were to take the test again, you would almost certainly score higher, but your data suggests that you're not in a position to score above 600 yet. I always tell my students that they should be scoring 20 points above their target score on their practice exams before they should feel confident in their ability to hit their target score on the real test.

Unless you have a couple more months to study, I would probably recommend that you shoot for next year if you need to hit above 600 . Are you doing self-study from the OG or are you working through a GMAT prep program? How many hours per day do you have to study?

I completely agree w/ Kyle here --- I think this requires some real thoughtful preparation on your part. There seem to be two issues in the mix here -- a big drop from practice tests to real tests and a sizable gap versus goal. Both are addressable -- but this is a big plan, not a quick fix.
