590 - q42 v 29. 15 questions myth WORKS! [#permalink]

I took my test on Monday the 30/04/07 in London. This time I followed the 'first 15 questions myth' on quant by double checking my answers. At the very end, when I had 8 questions left with 3 minutes to go I started panicking (on the previous tests I was finishing 10-15 minutes earlier) and had no choice but to guess. Last 8 questions were really tough, I do not think I got any of them right, but still managed to get scaled score of 42. I was very disappointed thus did not pay much attention to verbal, which found easy and finished just in time. I am very bad at RC, therefore spending more time reading and jotting points down.
If you find 20th question on quant to be relatively easy to solve- bad sign. I did not guess at all until last 8 questions for which I had no time left. With last 8 blind guesses I still got 67% correct (!). Thus, pace yourself carefully, and “feelâ€
