610 First Try - Need Honest Opinions [#permalink] New post 14 Nov 2005, 14:35
Hey everyone. Just got back from the test center and I'm really disappointed with my score. I got a 47 verbal, 30 math. That was my worst math score of all my practice tests although I have been struggling w/ math the whole time...33 was my worst practice and i think 38 or 40 was my highest.

So here's where I need the advice...I studied diligently for 2.5 months and went through all the the math questions in OG 10. Is it worth it to try again? If so, what should I study if I've already been through all those questions? Pace is a big factor for me as well so I guess I could work on that too.

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

47 in Verbal?? Isn't that 99th percentile?? If that's the case, I would suggest you try improving your quant and go for the test again in a month or so. Instead of just the OG, spend time in the math discussions forum on this site. Working on harder quesitons will allow you to master key concepts and improve your time. Also consider taking the "Challenges".
Also, how did you do on your practice CATs?

Good luck!

Just keep trying, math is pretty easy to improve, and with that score in verbal you'll get 700+ for sure.

If you know where is your weakness and zoom in on that, I believe it is possible.

Nothing is impossible in this world. It boils down to a lot of hard work and a critical fault finding process. Once you nailed down your weak points, attack them aggressively and things should start improving.

Buy the challenges of this site, practice them and retake the test in one month. I am sure you will reach the 750.

Good luck.

Challenges and OG [#permalink] New post 20 Nov 2005, 17:32
I would start with OG and master that, then move on to the challenges, OG will give you a good base for the challenges...Master those both materials and you will be set!!!
