610 in first attempt, should I retake???? [#permalink] New post 05 May 2013, 08:36
I scored 610(V-26, Q-48), AWA-4.5, IR-6. I scored 700 in GMAT prep1 and 720 in GMAT prep2. I personally felt that the real GMAT was tougher than the GMAT prep exams. I feel that by preparing again I can score well because the coaching institute I joined taught the exam stuff in total unprofessional way and did not gave the correct idea of the questions in GMAT. I am planning to apply to b-schools after 1-2 years.

Should I retake GMAT with the situation I am in????

You have enough time so if 610 is below your target score, why does the question even arise? Of course, you need to be willing to put in time and effort to improve your score since getting the same score repeatedly will only make the situation worse. If you know what to do differently this time, great! Get cracking!
