Initial research to do an MBA started in mid october... Realised i had to sit a GMAT exam. Researched schools and realised it would take several weeks in some circumstances for the score to reach the schools. At this point i didn't realise some schools don't need an official report until later.
By this time it was the end of October
I scheduled the exam, and the only free date was November 14th, enought ime for me to sit the exam and apply in time (so i thought).
Looked online for a course, decided to use 800score
Sat the GMATPrep exam to give myself a baseline from where to work from.
560 was the first score.
I had 2 weeks of study, 2 weekends and 8 weekday evenings and 5 practise exams from 800score and a GMATPrep exam
Practise exams went :-
590
640
660
560
630
Then i sat the last GMATPrep exam 1 day before the exam
590
One thing i noticed about 800scores exam was i was consistently scoring higher in the Verbal part of the exam. But after further research quite a few people have said their Verbal part is too easy compared to the real exam.
Sat the exam and scored 610. Quant was around expected, verbal i was expecting higher (due to the 800score results). However thinking about it the source i used for learning was that comprehensive.
Overall , considering it was all so rushed and my work schedule at the time, I was pleased with the outcome. With more time, i should be able to get an extra 10%+, however i just don't have the time to study more and resit the exam.
2 weeks of study..your score is decent enough...essay score is very impressive..congrats
