I would say you don't necessarily have to retake for one important reason: military experience. B-schools are giddy for military applicants and will give an extra measure of favor when considering applications for those with military experience. Also, you have other intersting stories it seems in your background which will make you memorable. Certainly a higher GMAT would help, since you will be competing essentially with other military applicants with higher scores, but if you can cast your vision and experience in a memorable way and emphasize that you have the aptitude (as is evidenced by your grades in school), you should have a good shot.
