I went to a top 10 school and my GPA was 3.75 (econ major), along with 3 prestigous awards for academic and leadership achievement. I plan to only apply to Northwestern and Chicago part time b/c I live in Chicago. Will my GMAT be a problem, or does the rest of my application make up it? While I'm disappointed with my quant. score (I expected to get about 75%), I'm okay with the overall score. I'm not a good test taker, but have always done exceptionally well academically...these standardized tests just aren't my thing.
Can you please give advice about whether or not I should retake the GMAT.

A 56% quant score on the GMAT is a big hurdle at Chicago and Kellogg. I would encourage you to retake it or to show you can do business school math in some other way. But the best way is to raise your GMAT quant score.
