690 vs 710

guys,
Please comment on this. How bad is 690 compared to 700/710. How do adcom interpret see a 690 vs 700/10.
I scored 690 and feel completely bowled over with the applications but i am considering appearing again. The schools I am applying to have an average of 650 so there is less incentive but still??
For argument sake how much better is a 710/00 than a 690.

690/700/710 -- it's all the same, especially if you are applying to a school with a 650 average. What's most important is where your score is on the middle 80% scale. If it's in the upper portion, you're good to go.

If you think you can score 760+ take it again for scholarship/recruitment purposes. Otherwise, you're more than fine.

Spend the time and money elsewhere. You are well above the average.
You can buy 2 new tennis rackets with that amount of money. :-D

Yeah excelgmat....if you would give it just to break the 700 barrier, I feel 690 is not very different from 700

If you feel you can get 30-40 points more, only then would I give it again

Depends on your target school. It is always better to be above the average Gmat of your target school. If other parts of your application are not exceptional
