720 in GMAT [#permalink] New post 27 Dec 2009, 19:47
Hi All,

I gave my GMAT yesterday and scored 720 (Q49, V39). This was my 2nd attempt. I scored badly in the 1st attempt(610 - Q49, V25).

I joined GMATClub today only but I have been visiting this forum and solving questions available here. I used to spend 60% of my study time at GMAT Club only but never used participate in the posts.

I think now is the time for me to help the people who visit this forum. I will be posting/replying to questions and will be available to answer any queries (if I am in a position to).

A special thanks to Bunuel whose Quant (esp DS) posts helped me a lot.

Thanks a lot guys, and all the best for your preparation. Let me if I can be of any help to anyone.

Hi FedX,

1.) Time duration was around 2 months out of which I prepared for around 45 days.

2.) For Verbal - I would say Practice is the only matra.
RC - Used to do 2 passages per day.
CR - Again more practice + LSAT CRS really helped.
SC - Spidey_SC_Notes and Sentence_Correction-Notes really helped.

And also posts on gmatclub.

grv,

On the Quant, how can estimate-
How many you're sure you got right
How many you blindly guessed on
How many you eliminated 2/3 and then guessed
How many you're sure you got wrong

My Quant score on the real GMAT doesn't reflect how I do on GMAT Prep or MGMAT. Not sure why this keeps happening. Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Hi adamsmith2010,

Sry fr the dealyed response. pls find my answers inline below:
How many you're sure you got right - I would say 30-31 correct, 8-9 wrong
How many you blindly guessed on - 2 (1 of which I knew I market wrong, just after submitting it.)
How many you eliminated 2/3 and then guessed (Quant - I never use this tech)
How many you're sure you got wrong - (3-4)
