I am very happy with the result, I did not have time for the last question on both Q and V, so I did not expect a 700+ score when I finished. I am not a native speaker and never scored a V41 during my preparation (except ones when I got a couple of repeat questions).
I started preparation about 2 months ago. Read the Kaplan
book and then went through the Official Guide. I did GMATPrep1 and got a 590 (Q45,V26). My weakest area was SC followed by RC. I went through the the first 800 of SC1000 and did some math, too.
My second test was 3 weeks later (GMATPrep1 again) and got a 690. (Q47 V37). I went back to study and did Powerprep1 and 2 next week and got 690 again on both (Q47, V37 and Q47, V38).
I completed the last 200 of SC1000 and the 70 toughest ones from this website. Also I went through some math questions, again.
4 days before the exam I did GMATPrep1 and got a 740 (Q49, V42) but I had many repeat questions.
At this point I started to focus on AWA, because I suck in essay writing.
2 days before the exam I did a full test (GMATPrep2) including AWA and got a 650. I was not too happy. There were no repeat questions.
I decided to do no more tests. I studied for AWA and went through my notes for Q and V.
My strategy for RC: I always read the whole passage regardless of its length and I never write down notes. I tried a couple of other ways to crack it but this is the one that works best for me.
I am hoping for a 4.0 score on AWA, that is my weakest area.
I have a lot left, my MBA course starts in January. I did not even apply, yet. Deadline is one week from now. I have to get the TOEFL done, too, before January.
Thanks for eveybody who contributed to this great site. It helped me a lot.
