Thats a very good score and what is more surprising is the time span in which you have got it , all the best for apps

well done! this is giving me some inspiration as I'm just starting to study and I'm taking the exam on September 9. Since I decided to take it, it seems everyone I've talked to took 2-3 months to study and at least one class. I'm taking the rudimentary approach that you outlined almost to a t! I hope I can even come close to your score (also aiming for 700)!

I'm sure you'll surprise yourself! There are a ton of free/cheap books out there to study from (and information on this forum, too). Good luck!

Hi,

nice to hear such good work by you. As i m giving my exam in 15 days from now, please suggest me how to go about the practice tests. should i purchase online, the manhattan test for 39 USD or should i purchase a strategy guide whic comes for 26 USD & has 6 practice tests with it? else, should i countinue giving free practicetests from different websites??

thanks in advance.

Congratulations!! and thanks for sharing your experience.
I started studying for the GMAT, but was reluctant to schedule a date for my exam fearing I would not be ready, but I am now motivated after I read your strategy :)

Well done on the score, in only 17 days, to improve by 140 points is astounding! Your method may be one of the most unorthodox on here, practising 20 MGMAT questions on the day is pretty unconventional, most people recommend 5 EASY questions. Also you were extremely minimalist in terms of study material.
You truly are a testamant to the fact that every individual must tailor their study to their own needs and you don't need every book under the sun to do well.

Congratulations!

If you don't have a study guide already, and are only buying either the Manhattan tests or the study guide, then I would suggest you buy the study guide. I would not have gotten as much out of the Manhattan tests if i didn't have a study guide to compliment them (I went over the concepts of each and every missed problem using the study guide).
Maybe you can find a study guide through a library, and purchase the Manhattan tests in addition.
