760 GMAT + 2.7 GPA = Columbia EMBA? [#permalink] New post 27 Aug 2004, 06:24
I scored well on the GMAT (760) and my undergraduate GPA is less than stellar (2.7). I think the low GPA is offset a bit by the fact that it's in Chemical Engineering from Cornell, but obvoiusly I'm still concerned.

Career wise, I'm in senior management at a mid-sized IT consulting firm with 8 years of job experience, which I hope will be a plus. Any thoughts on whether my hopes to get into the Columbia executive MBA program are realistic?

Thanks.

Congrats on the GMAT! Yes. I think you have a chance at Columbia's EMBA program. Your undergrad degree was along time ago and you have a record of significant achievement since then.
