8/20 to 9/20...700 Goal.

Q42 V35 for a 630, which is 75%. I woke up at 2am and couldn't sleep, and I am really disappointed in myself.

I don't really know what to say, other than during the break between math and verbal, I felt like I aced the math part, and questions kept getting harder and harder. I got 46/48/48 in the 3 practices. I finished with 30 seconds to spare and was not rushed, and in general had time to check my answers. I felt like I was going to get at least a 48, so I just have no explanation, other than something like correct answers were trial questions and incorrect answers counted - but would that explain why the difficulty increased?

After I got my score, I thought about what could have gone wrong, and my tired brain realized I should have been concerned when about 2/3 through the test, after seeing several 700 level problems, I saw the easy question: What is the perimeter of an isosceles triangle with sides 4 & 10. Well no **** ****, the other side has to be 10, and the perimeter is 24. For whatever reason, I now remember clicking 18, like a dumbass. The sleep factor.

Verbal was consistent with my practice scores of 30/34/38 and was very straightforward. Had about 3 problems left with 3 minutes to spare but got each question down to 2 choices.

Thanks everyone for the help, I will take this again in a few weeks. First test I have ever taken with a higher Verbal % than math. I'll get the 700 next time.
