Your 48 is close enough that you need not worry about crossing the 80th percentile (which is not a hard cutoff), especially if you come from a quantitative background. Don't worry about the misreporting; it was unintentional on your part and the schools will understand...

Hi there,

GMAC recently released revised percentile rankings, and I noticed that you now need to score a 49 or higher on the quant section in order to cross the 80th percentile barrier. Two questions:

1) With such a high bar for the 80th percentile mark, do you think that AdComs will adjust their standard 'ideal' score?
2) I got a 48 on the quant, which was the 80th percentile at the time (78th now)--is it okay if I reported the percentile as 80th in my applications?

Thanks!

What about a Q45? (68th percentile) How is that for H/S/W, or even top 10 generally.
