800 Score tests [#permalink] New post 06 Sep 2010, 00:53
I wrote 800 score math test and got score of Q38 or 53 percentile.
I want to know
1. how accurate this score?
2. This is the test I have written before begining my GMAT preparation. How can I improve it and how much improvement is possible.

I want to know
1. how accurate this score? 800 score CAT is a little bit more tough for Q section than is the real GMAT. However, I will ask you not to decide or think based on one CAT result.
2. This is the test I have written before begining my GMAT preparation. How can I improve it and how much improvement is possible. Well, sky is the limit. If before beginning your preparation, you have scored Q38, I can say with surity that you can reach Q48 (atleast) with a good study plan & efffort.

IMO the main problem with 800 score tests is that problems are often unGMAT-like. It's not what you'll get on exam.

Regarding 2nd question - quant score can be improved relatively easily, verbal though may pose serious difficulties

Which test can tell me accurately where I stand. Now I am more or less done with my math preparations.
I am currently struck in combinatric and probablity.. Not able to understand these topic. I referred to MGMAT guides for these

Use MGMAT CATs, they are probably the best (with excellent explanations).

By the end of your preparation do GmatPrep - it will give the most accurate assessment of your strength.
