This is DS problem. Could anyone try it and show the workings?

The problem is not clear

sqrt( sqr(x-5) ) = 5-x ?
or

sqr( sqrt(x-5) ) = 5-x ?

You're right Anandk. To me, this question is just simplified to: X - 5 = 5 - X?
If so, then the only way this could be so is if X = 0
From 1) X < 0 so not sufficient
From 2) X < 5 so not sufficient
Both together are not sufficient so E is the answer
But I think this question is not well written...

|x-5| = 5 -x

case 1: x>=5, x = 5
case 2: x<5, x E (-inf, 5)
Hence x E (-inf, 5]

(1) -x|x| < 0 => x E (-inf, 0)
(2) 5 -x > 0 => x E (-inf, 5)
