A, B, C run a circular track starting from the same point simulataneously and in the same direction at speeds of 4 km/hr, 6km/hr and 8 km/hr respectively. If the length of the track is 400 meters. When will A, B, C meet at the starting point for the first time after they started the race?

a. 1 min
b. 5 min
c. 12 min
d. 20 min
c. 24 min

In the above question, when will they meet for the 1st time after they started the race?

a. 1 min
b. 5 min
c. 12 min
d. 20 min
c. 24 min

The question is vague, so that's why I could figure out the answer.

I'm sorry but your question is incorrect (probably just a typo) In order to solve it you have to change 400 MILES to 400 METERS

the answer is 12 minutes

if you draw on a piece of paper 4 circles and see the A and B are when C finishes the lap, you'll see that all of them meet after C completes 4 laps.
the length of the lap is 400 METERS so the total distance C covers is 1.6km
C is running at the speed 8km/h so time spent is 1.6/8=0.2hour or 12 minutes

A: Runs 400 meters in (60/6000)*400 = 6 min
B: ... 4 min
C: ... 3 min

LCM of 6, 4 and 3 is 12 min, and that should be the answer.
