A car traveled 75% of the way from town A to town B by traveling at T hours at an average speed of V mph. The car travels at an average speed of S mph for the remaining part of the trip. What expression represents the average speed for the entire trip?

Let Total distance be 'd'

Time taken for 3/4d=vT => T=3d/4v
Time taken for remaining 1/4 of trip 1/4d=st =>t=d/4s


Average speed = Total distance/Total time

= d/(3d/4v+d/4s)

=4vs/(3s+v)
