4 boards of 2 feet 10 inches means 8 feet and 40 inches. Since 12 inches = 1 foot we have 3 feet and 4 inches in 40 inches
So we need 11 feet and 4 inches of wooden plank

He must buy 12 feet wooden plank

Is it 12...

1 Board=24+10=34 inches
4 boards = 34*4=136 inches

Per Foot = 136/12=11.33...

That means...a minimum of 12 feet of wood would be required.
