I believe there is some issue with the question, probably phrased incorrectly - what is the source of this question?

I agree, there seems to be some issue with the question. What is the source?

My ans is B. Because only multiples of 6 between 50 and 60- is 54 and 60. But 1 book is left so eliminate 60 and we are left with 54.

When taking A -> this gives us 3 options.

Either 51 (+1) or 54(+1) or 57(+1) number of books will be there.

When taking B -> Single option 54 (+1)

So option B.

Guess OA must be wrong.
