A certain box contains between 50 and 60 books. How many books are there in the box?

1)If the books are counted by 3, there will be 1 book left
2)If books are counted by 6, there will be 1 book left

My ans is B

OA : C

I dont understand why do we need both statements when we are getting to a single ans from B

I agree, there seems to be some issue with the question. What is the source?

My ans is B. Because only multiples of 6 between 50 and 60- is 54 and 60. But 1 book is left so eliminate 60 and we are left with 54.

When taking A -> this gives us 3 options.

Either 51 (+1) or 54(+1) or 57(+1) number of books will be there.

When taking B -> Single option 54 (+1)

So option B.

Guess OA must be wrong.
