A certain city with a population of 132000 is to be divided into 11 voting district, and no district is to have a population that is more that 10% greater that the population of any other district. What is the minimum poissible population that the least populated district could have?

A)10700
B)10200
C)10900
D)11000
E)11100

Let's say least populated district (say A) has population = x

The maximum any other city can have = x(1+10%) = x(1+1/10) = 11/10x

Now in order for A to have least population, other cities should have equal distribution, which is = 11/10x

Now 1 city has population x and 10 cities have population as 11/10x

so, 1 X x + 10 X 11/10x = 132000 ---> x = 11000

Hence (E) is the answer.
