Prime factorization of 18 = 2*3^2
Prime factorization of 24 = 2^3 *3
LCM of the given numbers = 2^3 *3^2
=72
Answer E

Alternatively , we can divide the answer options by 18 and 24 to find the lowest possible value

Let total no of students in the class be N

So, we are told that N is divisible by both 18 & 24

So, Lets find the least common multiple of 18 & 24 , ie 72

So our answer is (E) 72 :-D

18 teams and 24 teams are distributed evenly.

find lowest possible of both teams is to find lcm

lcm of 18 and 24 is 72.

so option
E is correct.
