I would be very happy if someone could provide me with explanations to these questions. Some of them doesnt seem hard at all to someone who knows the concepts, which I, obviosly, dont.

Im taking the test in 3 days so I would be very happy if someone could help me with these stupid misstakes.

Please do not give me the "work on your verbal part instead" :) Im a non native speaker.

Ans 1.
Let sides be A,A and B(hypo.)
A+A+b = 16(1+sqrt(2))
2A + B = 16(1+sqrt(2)) ..................1
By pythagoras theorem
B^2 = a^2 + a^2 = 2a^2
or B = A * Sqrt(2)............................2
Put eq. 2 in eq. 1
you will get B=16.

Ans 2.
let the wire be divided into X and 40-X.
Area of circle = Pi*R*R.-----------------------1
Circumference = 2*Pi*R

Length of remaining piece = 40 - 2*Pi*R
******Now u missed this part (i can see from ur answer).....this length is converted into square.
So length of square = (40 - 2*Pi*R)/4..................2
Now u sqrare eq. 2 and add to eq. 1.
Hope i m able to convey myself . actually i dont know how to write the symbols so its a bit difficlut for me to write the equations in a more readable form.

Ans 3.
For N = 2 and N = 4.
I think since it is a quadratic eq. it should have 2 solutions.

Ans 4.
Stmt. 2 is clearly not suff.Just pick few fiff. values for n and u will see diff. remainders.

Stmt 1 - suff.
7N + 4 = (6N + 3) + (N+1).....................1
Now divide eq.1 by 3 we get
(6N+3)/3 + (N+1)/3
Analyse (6N+3)/3 is clearly divided by 3.
stmt. 1 says that (N+1)/3 is divided by 3. Hene the complete number is divided by 3.
