A field is 500 m long and 30 m broad. A tank 30 m long, 20 m broad and 12 m deep is dug in the field and the earth taken out is spread evenly over the field. Find the level of the field raised?
a)65 cm
b)35 cm
c)50 cm
d) 60 cm
e) 100 cm

Area of the field -A , area of the tank-T , volume of the tank-V. A-T=15000-600=14 400 m^2. V=600x12=7200, so 14 400/7200=0,5 or c)

given (500-20)30x = 30*20*12, find x

x = .5 m = 50 cm
