A, B and D are out.
between C and E, I did some algebra,
The sale price before discount is C and S and % discounts are x and y for Coat and Sweater.
from statement 1, x-y = 2 from statement 2 C+10=S
discount amount on coat = Cx/100 discount amount on sweater = Sy/100 = (C+10)y/100
We have to find out whether difference in these two amounts in -ve or +ve.
Difference = Cx/100 - (C+10)y/100 = (C(x-y) - 10y)/100 = (2C - 10y)/100 ---------------- x-y = 2
So it depends on numeric values of C and y, Not given. Both statements are insuff. Option E.

Me too with E
S: X X+10 D%: P+2 P D: (P+2)X/100 P(X+10)/100
---> depends on which one is greater X or 5P
thus insuffi
