A merchant mixes three varieties of rice and sells the mixture at the rate of $31.20 per kg thereby making a profit of 30%. If the first variety costs$20, the second variety costs $26 and the third variety costs$30 per kg respectively, how many kgs of the second variety should he take to obtain the mixture if he took 22kgs of the first variety of rice?

I think the answer is 11.

The merchant makes 30% profit.
So, the Cost Price = x+ 30%x =31.2. solving this gives x=24

Then,
24 = (20*22 + 26*x + 30y) / 22+x+y
solving this
88 = 2x + 6y
when we apply the answers here only 11 stands a chance
