-3*a^2=3(3a+2)
a= -2 or -1
a=-2=B

A number a is squared and then multiplied by negative 3 --> a^2*(-3);
The result of this operation is equal to three times the sum of three times a and two --> 3(3a+2);

So, we have that a^2*(-3)=3(3a+2) --> a^2+3a+2=0 --> a=-2 or a=-1.

Answer: B.
