Needless to say OA is C

But i don't have any better explanation to convince myself than C sounds better and idiomatic and all other choices are weird and unidiomatic.

Please chip in....to help.

Thanks!

C for me

@alpha_plus_gamma: Just curious what is wrong with all the "there is" ?

I get the same answer, C, explanation:
The idiom requires a statement that will happen for sure, not a tentative statement, so eliminate A, B

Of the remainder:
C) is the best answer
D) is OK if there were no better choices, but is wordy and indirect
E) the word "lacking" is not idiomatic
