A Student From Middle East [#permalink] New post 29 Jun 2011, 04:00
hello
I'm a student from Syria, which is a developing country in the Middle East .
I'm in the last year of my bachelor degree in banking and finance .
I'm willing to take a master in finance in a good reputation university (Warwick, St.Gallen, Manchester, ....)
Here is my details:
strengths:
1. My position in my class is the first (I have the highest GPA in the university in term of my major).
2. My average is around 85% (with very high scores on finance courses)
3. All courses in the university are in English ( which is a competitive advantage and something unique here :-D , because people speak and study in Arabic here).
4. I'm gonna take GMAT and TOEFL IBT in the next few months.
Weakness:
1. My degree from one of the best universities in Syria, however, it's a Syrian degree.
2. Limited financial resources (I spent a lot of money on my bachelor degree, because my university is private).
3. I can invest no more than 30,000$ for the tuition ( I'm gonna borrow money  )
My questions are :
1. What universities should i apply to? ( I'm indifference between universities' location )
2. When to apply ? (regarding that I'm seeking a scholarship)
3. What are the scholarships that are available for me, and when to apply for them ?

thanks for your time
