A student must choose one of the subjects, art, geology, or psychology, as an elective. She is equally likely to choose art or psychology and twice as likely to choose geology. What are the respective probabilities that she chooses art, geology, and psychology?

.25, .5, and .25

You can assign a value to art, say, 1.
You should assign the same value to psychology (equal value-- equally likely.
Assign twice that value to geology(twice as likely.)

Add up your values (1+1+2=4), and you have your denominator. Use the values you assigned for your numerators...

This is a pretty easy question, Bhai...
