I made a chart in order to solve this problem

G G' T

M .2x 30

F .8x 70

T x 100

The ratio is:

male geese migrating/total male geese
/female geese migrating/total female geese

=(.2x/30)/*(.8x/70)

=(.1x/15)*(70/.8x)=7/12

I agree B

Let x be the number of geese
Male geese = 0.3x
Female geese = 0.7x

Let m be the number migrated
Male migrated = 0.2m
Female migrated = 0.8m

(0.2m/0.3x) / (0.8m/0.7x) = 7/12

since its all in percent i took numbers

100 geese 30 Male

so 70 female

let us say 50 migrated

so 50*.2 = 10 male 40 female

ratio = 10/30 / 40/70 = 7 / 12
