Absolute phrase and appositive [#permalink]

Can somebody explain this to me in GMAT point of view. have read some on web but I guess my concepts are not clear yet. Does absolute phrase leads to run -on sentences?

Absolute Phrase does NOT lead to run on sentence.
The best way to understand concepts is try to post it here as if you are explaining it to someone. Then finally, pose the question to the members... did i understand the concept right? is there something else i need to know? by doing this, you are not only trying hard to understand the concept , but also when others reply, you will learn from others explanations.
Print the thread out and now you simply have to refer to that post if you ever have a doubt. Since your wrote the explanation in your own words, it will make sense to you immediately.

Praet is right, appositive and absolute phrases do not create run on sentences since the above 2 introduce dependent clauses as opposed to independent clauses for run-on sentences

1. A run-on sentence is a flaw sentence, whereas appositive is a valid/correct sentence structure.
